Advocacy

Facts for Education Advocates

We know that every one of you serves as an advocate for your students, your institutions and your professions. As a membership organization, one way in which the College Board can support you is to provide advocacy tools.

There is no tool more powerful than information, so the College Board has joined with the Alliance for Excellent Education to develop a series of fact sheets that you can use in your efforts to improve education. Click here to download the first fact sheet, which provides an overview of American education.

This will be a multipart series. Starting in September, Connection will include an additional set of facts every month. These sheets will tackle one topic per month and will include such issues as the racial and gender divide; international comparisons; higher education admissions and majors; data on teacher and counselor salaries and retention; the role of community colleges; financial aid; and the economic impact of education.
