On Nov. 9, the College Board’s Advanced Placement Program® (AP®) reached out to educators to announce upcoming changes to AP courses and exams in three disciplines — world languages, history and science. Revisions to AP French Language and Culture, AP German Language and Culture, and AP World History will be implemented first, going into effect during the 2011-12 academic year.
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 infused almost $100 billion in new funds into federal education programs — nearly two times the overall funding for the entire annual federal education budget.
