Spring Workshops for Admissions and Financial Aid Professionals

This spring, the College Board is offering a series of free workshops for financial aid and admissions professionals.
One of two sessions will be offered in Denver, Colo., Burlington, Mass., Syracuse, N.Y., East Lansing, Mich.,
and Enfield, Conn.

Exploring Financial Aid Implications of
Changing Demographics

This workshop explores population trends, predicted high school graduation rates and socioeconomic data indicating that students applying to institutions in the year 2010 and beyond will represent increasingly diverse, multiethnic and bilingual segments of the population. Participants will begin to understand and predict the impact on their institutional grant levels, packaging guidelines and enrollment goals.

A Primer on Economics for Enrollment Professionals

This workshop will explore how pricing, demand, market structures and price discrimination — all traditional components of economic theory — also impact the higher education marketplace and why financial aid is essential to creating equity and access. Participants will explore enrollment and financial aid issues from an economic perspective allowing them to make informed institutional decisions based on sound
economic theory.

Members are encouraged to register online for a workshop.
