Plenary Sessions include

Increasing College Success — Smoothing the Transition from Secondary to Postsecondary: Panelists from the Montgomery County Public Schools system will discuss how ACCUPLACER Diagnostics and MyFoundationsLab help students become college ready.

Increasing Career and College Readiness: Panelists from the Indiana Department of Education, Department of Workforce Development/ABE and Ivy Tech Community College will discuss how early identification of skill strengths and weaknesses and the implementation of a curriculum that addresses remediation, can lead to an increase in the number of students who are college and career ready.

Destino: Universidad

The College Board, in coordination with CollegeWeekLive, is hosting Destino: Universidad (Destination: College), a series of free webinars that provide Latino students and families with college planning tips, tools, resources and the opportunity to chat live with college admission officers.

The next webinar in the series will be hosted on Tuesday, April 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. (EDT). Each session will be broadcast simultaneously in Spanish and English.

Sessions include:

- “Comparing Financial Aid Award Letters,” hosted by Myra Smith, Executive Director, Financial Aid Services, The College Board, and Alex Paredes, Project STEPS, Van Nuys Middle School

- “Making the Right Choice in Selecting a College or University,” hosted by Emma Rutland and Denise Castaneda, Uplift Education

- “Understanding DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals),” hosted by Luis Pérez, DACA Program Manager
