College Board Net Price Calculator Service Will Be Available to Colleges in the Fall
Apr. 2010
The College Board announced today that it is developing a net price calculator service that will be available to institutions this fall. The Web-delivered service will help colleges and universities provide school-branded and customized early information to students about costs and financial aid eligibility, and will fulfill the requirements of the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008.
The calculator will use the College Board’s state-of-the-art Institutional Need Analysis System (INAS®) to compute both federal and institutional methodologies.
“This new service will make it possible for colleges and universities to provide a convenient, accurate and reliable calculator to prospective students, and to meet the federal mandate,” said Ryan Williams, vice president for enrollment programs and services at the College Board. “By offering a high-quality net price calculator that is broadly available, we will support access to college by collaborating with institutions to provide early information to students about college affordability.”
The College Board will release more information, including service details and launch dates, in the coming weeks.
