AP® to Provide Online Score Reporting in July
May 2010
Online score reporting begins this summer for AP® score reporting services, providing faster, more convenient access to vital information for educators, schools and districts.
High School and District reports and rosters will be available online as scoring is completed, beginning in July. The new online offerings also include an AP Instructional Planning Report for each subject or section, allowing teachers to access detailed content-based performance data much earlier than in previous years. Access to the reports is free to districts, a savings from years past. Users of the system need only a College Board professional account to view their reports and track activity on the site.
Using the online score reporting system, educators and administrators will find layouts that are screen and printer friendly. The reports can be downloaded and saved in easy-to-use formats such as Microsoft Excel or in a PDF file. The scores will be updated nightly, with the most recent entries highlighted each day. The online system also allows users to filter the information to customize their views in a variety of ways. To ease the burden on AP Coordinators, corrections also may be submitted online.
“This reporting system allows us, for the first time, to quickly get performance data directly into the hands of the stakeholders who need it — teachers, and school and district leaders,” said Mark Cavone, executive director of AP business management. “This gives us the ability to deliver directly to teachers information that will influence teaching and learning in the classroom."
