The TEA recently signed a contract with the College Board, approving the College Readiness Pathway — an integrated series of three assessments —  as part of a statewide initiative to increase college and career readiness.

The assessments include:

  • The First Step: ReadiStep™ (8th Grade)
  • The Intermediate Step: PSAT/NMSQT® (10th-11th Grades)
  • The Final Step: SAT® (11th-12th Grades)

Aligned to federal and Texas state standards, the tests provide a critical framework that enables educators to measure, monitor and direct student progress from middle school through high school … to college and career readiness.

Texas educators: We welcome you to join a brief webinar to learn more about the
College Readiness Pathway and how it can be successfully implemented in your district.
